I'm Planning on staying in mah manse. Having a house in the city would be useful for a number of things though. And then we'd each have our own place! Me and Eagle would have tombs, and you could have a house!

Well, I'll rent a cheap room. Flipper's not particularly keen on staying in Meido long-term. He's got other places to go.

Manses are going to be either on the country's borders or in another city. I'm going to arbitrarily decide that Flipper is renting a room above a local noodle joint in the southwest ward; "Wok in the Park," not far from public gardens and a market district.

It was a once per year visit. It can be relatively close. Say half a day's walk or a few hours by horse.

On the topic of location, using the Profile Location for in-game rather than IRL location will help players know who's present at any given scene.

I don't think we have a party leader so much. Anyway, if one of the characters has a leading personality it will come out soon enough.

So far, I think Flipper at least has plot, so we'll see. Given that he's got plans and is more focused on up-front interaction, whereas Obsidian seems to work best alone, and Pall is mostly on a mission of self-improvement... I lost track of that sentence. Anyway, that's how I see it right now. Might change, don't know yet.

I don't expect much is going to happen with the game before school starts again; how do we want to proceed?

And, since you all are pretty much the core Exalted group at GCC, what do we want to do this semester? Brenden has a DB game, James might have a Dragon-King oneshot? I'm keen to try Nocturnals, maybe a mini-campaign?

Depending what we decide to do with last year's game, I've accidentally committed to roughly four campaigns... Neutral Need to cut something, given that Quantitative Analysis, Civ Lit, and the Colloquium are all in one semester now.

I checked out the book for Nocturnals and don't see the point of them, other than making a Creation-bound exalt type that uses adamant. Maybe I missed something?

Brenden, sorry to hear about the grade situation. I hope it gets better. Too many good people have dropped out of GCC/moved to other colleges lately.

Maybe there will be a DK one-shot at some point in the future. I don't know. My last attempt at GM'ing for this group (see my game in this forum) has led to a complete failure of inspiration. However, if we do have a one-shot that isn't totally off the cuff, let's set a date, not procrastinate, and go high-essence.

I'd like to keep going, at least to finish up this thing with the caravaner. I suspect this wasn't supposed to be as big of a deal as Flipper is making it, and that I may need to pick up another dot of compassion for him.

I'd like to have at least three in my campaign; we can either start a new mixed-type game or add another player with equivalent XP, although I'm leery of a new player starting with that many points to work with. I'd want to use Chungmod rules, so I'd also be refunding XP spent on excellencies unless we just start a new game. Sidenote: A starting character with the Chungmod is a higher "level" than your characters are currently.

@Brenden: Sorry to hear that;you're a great RP'er. Let us know if there's anything we can do to help. I've ridden the academic probation rollercoaster too.

@James: I had trouble grokking the appeal of Nocturnals too, until I got to the charmset. Missing a few keywords, but goodness do they have fun charms. And the charms go a long way towards defining an otherwise hazy feel to the splat.

The alter-ego tree might be my new favorite fan work. I'm running balance/combat tests (coincidentally, if anyone wants to do that on the boards with me...); you can do some pretty neat stuff.

Four seems like a good number for a campaign, but I'd run with three. If we get two players that are new to Exalted, I think it would be best to start a new game.

Plotwise, you'd obviously lose ground, but with the Chungmod and some other houserules (like fixed XP costs for Attributes and Abilities) you would be about the same place statwise.

I'd tentatively recommend Giese; he's done Exalted once before, so he at least has an idea, and I don't think he'll spotlight. He seems like a thoughtful and responsible guy.

So personal suggestion is that we should reuse this thread, and rehash out the group dynamic, with people having made new characters or forgotten most of their old one's finer points of flavor.
